In with the bold, out with the old. It is time to add a little more spice to your kitchen. Red is the new sizzling hot colour that will give your kitchen just what it’s been missing. Before you rush out to order all those bright red units however, you need to know that a little goes a long way when it comes to splashing your kitchen red.

Too much red in the kitchen can be overpowering. It is a very bold and intense colour, only a touch of red will give your boring kitchen the vibrant energy it has been lacking. A option to add just the right amount of spice is to focus on red kitchen appliances.

Red accessories will fit into almost any colour kitchen. There’s no need to makeover your whole kitchen, or spend all your money. Start small, add a red kettle to your countertop. Then maybe a toaster, a blender, and then if you’re feeling a little more scandalous go for that red fridge. Start splashing red here and there, but don’t let it get out of hand by putting it everywhere.

Although red accessories will make any kitchen look great, they look exceptional against all white, or black kitchens. Adding a few red pieces here and there with a stainless steel kitchen will also do wonders to your once drab kitchen. A few red chairs in an all white kitchen will give a boost to your all white island. If you have an all black kitchen, the smaller red appliances that sit on top of the counter will for stand out giving your kitchen a more modern look. If you’re feeling a little more daring and have yourself a stainless steel kitchen, try painting one wall a bright, bold red and see where it takes you.

When you start to think it’s time to revamp your kitchen, and you like the idea of adding a little red to the mix make sure you know how much spice you can handle. Are you willing to go all the way with red kitchen units or red walls, or are you only looking for a bit of flavour by adding that red little teapot?

Find the right colour of red that suits you best. A red kitchen will wake your senses, just like the coffee you’re holding in that red mug of yours.
